Liquid Blending

We can manufacture products using various liquid blending techniques to match the desired product specifications of our customers.

All liquid blending vessels on our plants are abrasion resistant, 316 stainless steel and are mounted onto load cells / weight indicators to allow direct, accurate weighing of raw materials meaning minimal room for error.

Contract chemical blending facilities

ATEX liquid blending:

  • ‘ATmosphères EXplosible’ – this facility is equipped to handle and mix hazardous and flammable chemicals
  • Has both a high and low shear mixing capability
  • The volume capacity ranges from 10-10,000lts

High shear liquid blending / mixing:

  • Ytron-Quadro Y series mixers
  • Volume capacity of 650-7,500lts
  • Allows highly dense solids to blend in aqueous media
  • Creates immediate re-suspension of sedimented solids via strong axial directed jet streams
  • Sedimentation and air entrainment are eliminated making a completely homogenous product
  • Example – Our high shear mixers allow the manufacture of a 2% Xanthan Gum solution (i.e. wallpaper paste consistency) which is ready for use within one hour

Low shear liquid blending / mixing:

  • Low shear paddle mixers
  • Volume capacity of 300-15,000lts
  • Low energy agitators for the blending of components which are easily combined

Off-line blending:

  • Volume capacity of 10-1,000lts
  • We are able to conduct 3D bottle rotation for the re-homogenisation and de-sedimentation of separated and sedimented products.

Other chemical blending:

  • We have access to a large variety of trial and hire units (e.g. Silverson / Ytron etc.) for specific technical use where required
  • Homogenisation / emulsion / in-line size reduction are also possible techniques using our contract chemical blending facilities

Chemical toll blending capabilities

Our liquid blending equipment allows us to manufacture a vast range of formulation types, including:

  • Emulsion concentrates
  • Emulsions – oil in water
  • Emulsions – water in oil
  • Suspo-emulsions
  • Ultra low volume suspensions
  • Ultra low volume liquids
